Terms & Conditions for 'Find Phileas' Online Competition
General
- No Purchase Necessary Offer open to UK, Northern Island and Channel Island
residents only, aged 18 years or over and excludes employees of United Biscuits
(UK) Limited, the promoter, their families, agents or anyone connected with
this promotion.
- To Enter – Register by completing the online form at www.phileasfogg.com or www.findphileas.com. You are required to provide your name, address, email
and mobile number (mobile number optional). For a "no purchase" entry, register
online as described.
- The promoter will treat all Personal Data obtained as
confidential and it will only be used by the promoter in connection with this
promotion only. Personal Data will not be sold, rented or provided to any other
third parties.
- The Competition start date is 19th June 2006. The competition
ends on 31st December 2006. All competition entries must be received by Midnight
on 31st December 2006
- The diary/clue release dates are: 19th June, 10th July, 31st July, 21st
August, 11th September, 9th October, 6th November and 4th December.
- The "Winner" is the first person to find all 8 correct answers and submit
them online using the online form provided.
- Completed answer sheets cannot be submitted before the final diary entry
has been released on 4th December.
- Competition entrants will receive email reminders prior to the release
of the next clue/diary entry (if they have chosen to be eligible for this option,
at time of registration).
- No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, delayed illegible or corrupt
entries, which shall be disqualified at the discretion of the promoter. Proof
of submission of answers shall not be accepted as proof of receipt.
- The promoter
or any of its associated companies cannot be held responsible for any network,
computer hardware or software failures of any kind, which may result in restricted,
delayed or lost entries.
- If the promoter has reasonable grounds for
believing that an entrant has contravened any of the terms and conditions
for taking part in the competition, the promoter reserves the right to select
an alternative winner.
- Entrants agree to take part in additional unpaid
publicity accompanying or resulting from their participation in the competition,
should the promoter require them to do so.
- Each winner will be notified within 7 days of the closing date of the
competition.
- To obtain the names of winners, please send a stamped addressed envelope
headed "Find Phileas" to the promoter at the address shown below, within one
month of the closing date of the competition.
- This promotion is governed by English law.

Prizes
- One winner will win the first prize, which constitutes travel vouchers
and spending money to the combined value of £15,000.
- Three runners up will win a 2-night break to Paris for 2 people.
- Other prizes may become available throughout the competition at the discretion
of the promoter. Further details would be announced by the promoter at the
time any such prizes become available.
- The winner may construct their own itinerary up to the value of £15,000.
- The winner has a period of up to six months in which to discuss and plan
their itinerary, before the journey(s) must be booked.
- The winner is responsible for obtaining a valid passport and travel insurance.
Evidence of this may be required by the Promoter prior to authorisation of
the prize.
- The runners up prize comprises: Return travel from the UK, Return
airport/hotel transfers, 2 night's 4-star accommodation, breakfast, a cruise
on the river Seine, a carnet of 10 metro tickers per person, a meal reservation
for two with meal allowance and £100 spending money.
- Prizes are as stated and non transferable. No Cash alternatives will
be offered. If, due to circumstances beyond the promoter's
control, the Promoter is unable to provide the stated prize, the Promoter reserves
the right to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value. All prizes
shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the agent.
